Treatment Focus

Therapy is a process that can help facilitate the changes desired in your life and to provide support and guidance during challenging times.
Therapy can also help to understand how past experiences influence the present behaviors. Working together, we can identify negative thought patterns to begin the healing process.
Through compassion and strength-based solutions, I help adults, teens, and young adults find growth in their lives.
You will find our work together to be a joint venture in sorting out the challenges in your life.  I see psychotherapy as a collaborative, active process between two people. I focus intentionally on developing a warm and respectful working relationship with my clients.
I am confident that everyone has strengths to draw from, even when they find themselves in the midst of crisis. My work is compassionate, strength-based and I look forward to working with you to  achieve a more meaningful, fulfilling, and productive life.

Family Therapy

SubstanceAbuse.jpg

Family therapy is a way for you and your family to learn how to maintain healthy family relationships, communicate effectively with family members, and work cooperatively to solve family problems. This type of therapy is unique, in that problems are viewed through a broader lens and as part of the complex system of the family. Family therapy can help in bringing the family together after a crisis, creating honesty between family members and building trust in family members developing a supportive family environment, reducing sources of tension and stress within the family, conflict resolution for family members and bringing back family members who have been isolated

Substance Abuse Assessments and Therapy

Being a Certified Substance Abuse Therapist, I can conduct assessments which are thorough evaluations designed to definitively establish the presence or absence of a diagnosable drug abuse problem. The aim of screening is to identify the potential presence of an alcohol- or drug-related problem, while the assessment stage takes the process a step further and confirms the existence of a problem, identifies the nature of the problem(s), and suggests appropriate avenues of treatment.
